Blog Commenting gone Wild
The thing that makes me angry is the thought of people doing some crazy ass things when they get to this blog, like for instance the comment box, which I’ll be addressing today. There are already few do follow blogs around already. Please comment with style.
My thoughts are at people that leave comments that are totally way off because….
1) They haven’t read the blog or article and do not have a clue what they are saying.
2) They leave a comment that clearly is not for the blog
3) The comment is a cut and paste cookie cutter comment that five other people have left you the same comment earlier
4) They comment on your brilliant ‘editorial spree ‘when you know the article was a simple 350 words piece on whether you should have a website or a blog
What crock, if a comment is being made I would prefer the commenter at least read the article and then comment appropriately. The only choice I have when I see comments that make absolutely no sense is to delete or treat them as spam. Commenter should have blog etiquettes and learn how to comment properly, if there is nothing to comment about, trying talking about something specific on the style or layout of the blog. Bloggers like getting comments about the look of their blogs. But trust me, if you read carefully there will always something on a blog to comment about.
Here are some examples of wackier comments left on this blog, if you are one of the guilty parties….come now and do better than that!!

Ok! This doesn’t rock with me as I received numerous post exactly like this and word for word.
When I started my blog about a month ago, I wasn’t even aware this existed, but what a lesson! I screen every comment and I’m concerned about the amount of effort this will take if the volume increases substantially. When it’s not clear, I’ve googled the comment verbatim, and it normally shows up in dozens of other blogs’ posts. As you say, they’re typically generic comments with links to (sometimes bizarrely) unrelated sites. My personal favorite example so far was a glowing appraisal of my reasoning skills, which was submitted to a post of a picture of a monkey, and linked to a site discussing the dangers of lasik eye surgery.

Next goto any site that has links to your show you’re using. I use surfthechannel.com but there are so many more out there. Find your site and bookmark or save the page that should have your show listed by season and links to each episode.
I would love to have my blog as a tv show by I am not that fortunate
And it goes on and on!!
How great is Hostgator?
I have the answer to that. I have a blog that has been a headache from day one, with problems like the domain name being in park at Go Daddy and for some reason it wouldn’t get out of park. It took two days for the people at Hostgator got it out. Now, with my current issue, the same domain now a blog had a problem when I try accessing the blog or when I wanted to get to the admin area.
